Sara managed the space planning and sourcing for a 3 bedroom/2 bath home that we had just purchased. We needed to turn it into a fully furnished short-term rental in less than 5 weeks. We discussed how the spaces would be used and some color palettes and style options. We needed to make every penny of our investment dollars count to achieve our goals. A welcoming and comfortable home that didn't look like it was furnished on a budget and would be a property people would stop scrolling and look deeper into our rental. It should provide renters with a great guest experience from the start.
Sara took the initiative to do some market research on bed sizes and amenities within certain ranges. With critical decisions made and the guidelines in place, she started sourcing what we would need. Her thorough list of items took into consideration the smallest of details. She adeptly moved around the dollar allocation as she found the items we really needed to invest in quality [seating, mattresses, and bedding] and shopped for deals. There was really no time to discuss each of the 350+ line items on the purchase plan. We needed someone we could trust to make decisions for us.
After creating space plans for each room, she developed mood boards and associated spreadsheets so we could see the products being pulled together for each room and how it impacted the total budget. When the deliveries started coming, Sara guided us through the installation and implementation of the design. As first timers of a project of this size, we didn’t realize a game plan would be helpful - and she had one. We implemented the plan together, but whatever she would have charged us for her and her team to complete it would have been worth it. Managing the deliveries, logistics, returns, and everything else is overwhelming when you are managing a busy life with children. But you don't know what you don't know until you have experienced it. Bringing it all together in a cohesive way is a valuable part of her service.
Then there was the information she provided. At the time, we had no idea how valuable all of that would become. We have complete inventory lists with costs, sources, measurements, and product details. Pictures of inventory for the maid service, and plenty of documentation for the accountant and insurance companies. She also created a “House Rules” that helps enhance the guest experience. I cannot adequately put into words how we feel about Sara's contribution and support. There is so much more to what she did than decorating. She delivered amazing results above and beyond our expectations. She designed not only a contemporary look, but a highly functional, well thought out space that we are proud to offer guests.
